A Roman mosaic dating from the 4th
Century in the first object to be installed in a new museum due to open in West
Sussex in the summer.
The Chilgrove mosaic, discovered at Chilgrove Roman Villa, had to be moved in
four sections, from Chichester District Museum to the Novium.
The museum has been built to display the remains of a Roman bath house.
Chichester residents can win the chance to visit the museum the day before it
opens to the public on 8 July.
